The City

Nay! I swear by this city (Makkah).

And you reside in this city.

And by the father and the newborn.

Certainly We have created human in difficulties.

Does he (the human) think that no one has power over him?

He says: “I have consumed abundant wealth”.

Does he think that no one sees him?

Have We not given him a pair of eyes

and a tongue and two lips?

And We deliver him to ways (the Way of return and the way of Darkness).

But he has not gone through Aqaba (the steep climb: has not submitted physical body to Allah).

And what is it that makes you comprehend what Aqaba (the steep climb) is?

(Going through the steep climb) is freeing the slave (submission of the physical body to Allah).

Or in a day when he is hungry and exhausted: feeding

an orphan from relatives,

or the needy that is extremely poor.

Then (going through the steep climb) to be one of those who is amenu (that submitted the physical body to Allah), and recommends patience and recommends mercy.

These are the Ashab-ı Meymene (the ones whose records of deeds (life films) are given from their right hand side).

And those who deny Our Verses, they are Ashab-ı Mesheme (the ones whose records of deeds (life films) are given from their left hand side).

On them is Fire closed around.

90:1

Al-Fajr

Ash-Shams

لَا أُقْسِمُ بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ

Lea uksimu bi heazal balad(baladi).

Nay! I swear by this city (Makkah).
