Ta-Ha

Tâ-Hâ.

We have not sent down the Qur’ân to you that you as difficulty,

but as a reminder (as praise) to those who are the owners of reverence.

Brought down from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens.

The Most Beneficent rose on the Heaven of Heavens.

His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between the two, and what is under the damp soil.

And if you utter the saying aloud (or not), surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden (and the most hidden).

Allah! There is no god but He. His are the most beautiful Names.

And has the news of Moses come to you?

When he saw a fire, he said to his family: “Stay here and wait, for surely I have seen a fire. Perhaps I can bring you therefrom a burning brand (light) or find Return at the fire (at the light)”.

So when he came to it (to fire/to light), a voice was uttered: “O Moses!

Surely I, I am your Lord. Now put off your shoes. Surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwâ.

And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed.

Surely, I, I am Allah. There is no god but I, therefore become a servant to Me, and keep up the Prayer for My praise!

Surely that Hour (Doomsday) will come. For every soul to be rewarded (or punished) for its diligence I will almost hide it from Myself.

Therefore let not those who do not believe in it (the Doomsday) and follow their low desires turn you away from it (belief in the Doomsday). Then you (too) perish.

And what is it in your right hand, O Moses?”

He said: “This is my staff, I lean on it and I beat down the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep and I have other uses (benefits) for it”.

(Allah) said: “Cast it down, O Moses”!

So, he cast it down. Then it had become a serpent, moving (slithering) quickly.

(Allah) said: “Take it and do not fear! We will restore it to its former state.

And put your hand under your armpit. As another sign (miracle) take it out white (with glorious light) without a flaw (pure),

That We may show you one of Our Greater Signs (Miracles).

Go to Pharaoh! Surely he has exceeded the limits”.

(Moses) said: “My Lord! Open my chest

and make my affair easy to me,

and loose the knot (tongue-tied) from my tongue,

that they may understand my words.

And appoint for me a helper from my family:

my brother, Aaron.

Increase my power with him

and do him partner in my affair,

so that we much glorify You,

and praise You much.

Surely, You are the One Who sees us”.

(Allah) said: “O Moses! What you ask for has been given to you”.

And I swear that We had bestowed you at another time,

when We had revealed to your mother what had to be revealed,

so that to put him into the basket, then to cast it down into the sea (river Nil). So, the sea shall throw him on the shore. There shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him. And for you to be brought up before My Eye (under My Protection) I cast down upon you love from Me.

Your sister was walking (following you) and saying (to them when they took you into the Palace): “Shall I help you find one who will take charge of him (breastfeed him and take care of him)”? So We brought you back to your mother, to make her happy and she should not grieve. And you had killed someone. Then We had delivered you from the grief (distress) and We tried you with various trials. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan. Then you came here by the predestination of fate, O Moses!

And I have chosen you (as a Prophet) for Myself and brought you up.

Go you and your brother with My Verses (Miracles) and do not, neglect My praise (praise Me endlessly, reach eternal praise).

Go both to Pharaoh, surely, he exceeded the limits,

then speak to him with gentle words. So that he may deliberate (understand) or have reverence”.

(Both) said: “Our Lord! Surely, we fear, that he may overdo it against us (exaggerate) or that he may rage towards us”.

(Allah) said: “You both don’t be afraid! Surely I am with you both; I do hear and see.

So go you both to him and say: “Surely we are two Messengers of your Lord. Therefore, send the Sons of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed, we have brought to you a Verse (Miracle) from your Lord, and peace is on those who follow Return (those who wished to return the spirit of Allah in life and submitted Him spirit, body, soul and will).

Surely, it has been revealed to us that the torment will surely come upon those who refuted and turn their backs”.

(Pharaoh) said: “Who is the Lord of you two, O Moses”?

(Moses) said: “Our Lord is He Who gives to everything its creation, then delivers to Return (subdues the spirit, physical body, soul and free will of people)”.

(Pharaoh) said: “Then, what is the state of the former generations”?

He said: “The knowledge of that is with my Lord, in a Book (Main of the Books). My Lord never errs, nor forgets.

It is He Who made the earth for you a bed (cradle) and opened for you in it ways and sent down water from the sky. Then We have brought forth with it pairs of various plants.

Eat and pasture your cattle. Most surely there are Signs (proofs) in this for those endowed with understanding.

From it (from the earth) We created you and there We shall send you back and from it will We bring you out once again.

And truly We showed him all Our Verses (Miracles) but he belied and insisted (on his lie).

(Pharaoh) said: “Have you come to us that you should drive us out of our land by your magic, O Moses?

So, we too will produce before you magic like it, therefore appoint (choose) between us a suitable time and place for a meeting, about which neither we nor you will disagree”.

(Moses) said: “Your appointed meeting is the day of the Embellishment (Festival) when the people assemble at mid-morning”.

So, the Pharaoh left and so came (to the meeting place) after he had collected his tricks.

Moses said to them: "Woe to you! Do not slander Allah with lies, otherwise He will destroy you with torment. And those who slandered Him were at a loss."

So, they consulted among themselves and secretly agreed about their affairs (about tricks).

They said: “These two are most surely magicians who wish to drive you out of your land by their magic and to destroy your highest clan (way, religion)”.

(Pharaoh) said: “So, gather all your tricks (magic), and then line up in a row. And whoever gains the upper hand on that day will win (have salvation)”.

They said: “O Moses! Will you cast (your staff), or shall we be the first who cast down”?

(Moses) said: “Nay! You cast down”! Then their cords and their rods appeared to him as if they were moving fast on account of their magic.

Therefore, Moses felt fear in his soul.

We said: “Do not fear, surely you, you are the uppermost.

And cast down what is in your right hand (your staff), it shall swallow up what they have made. What they have made is only a magician’s trick and the magicians shall not have Salvation wheresoever they may come from.

Upon that the magicians fell down prostrate. They said: “We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses”.

(Pharaoh) said: “Did you believe in him before I gave you permission? Surely, he is an elder (expert) of you who taught you magic, therefore I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will certainly crucify you on the trunks of palm-trees. And certainly, you will come to know which of us is more severe and more lasting in torment”.

They said: “We would never prefer you to what has come to us of the clear miracles. Because He created us, therefore do what you are going to do. But you can only do in this world’s life”.

Surely, we believe in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins (pardon us and replace our sins with good) and the magic to which you compelled us against him (Moses). And Allah is Better and more Lasting.

Whoever comes to his Lord being guilty, for him is surely Hell. He shall not die therein, nor shall he live.

And whoever comes to Him as a believer and he has done righteous deeds (the soul’s cleansing), then for them, for such are the high degrees:

the Gardens of Eden, beneath which the rivers flow, where they will abide forever. And this is the Reward of those who are cleansed (cleansed and purified their soul).

And certainly We revealed to Moses: “Travel by night with My servants, then strike (your staff) for them a dry road! Do not fear to be caught (by Pharaoh), nor worry (of being drowned in the sea)”.

So Pharaoh pursued them with his army. Upon that the sea covered them with such covering that which (completely) covered them (drowned them).

And Pharaoh left his people in Darkness and hindered them (his nation) from Guidance.

O Children of Israel! We had delivered you from your enemy. And We made a Promise to you (in order to meet you) on the right side of the Tour (Mount Sinai), and We sent to you the Manna and the quails.

Eat of the clean things We have given you as sustenance, and be not inordinate (ungrateful) with respect to them (what you are eating). Else My Wrath should descend on you. And those on whom My Wrath descends, they have become astray by following the low desires of their soul.

And most surely I am the Gaffar (the One Who replaces sins with good) to those who repent (before a saint guide, the Murshid with 12 blessings) and (the second time) become âmenû (who became believers with increased Faith as the ‘Faith’ has been written in their souls’ hearts) and do righteous deed (cleanse their souls by performing praise, the repetition of the Name of Allah). Then, they are delivered (on My side) to Return (their spirits are return to Me before death).

What hastened you (leave) from your people, O Moses?

(Moses) said: “They are, they are following me and I hastened on to You my Lord, for Your pleasure”.

(Allah) said: “So surely We have tried your people after you, and Sâmirî has caused them to fall into Darkness”.

So Moses returned to his people wrathful, sorrowing. He said: “O my people! Did not your Lord promise you a goodly promise? Did then the promise time seem to you long in coming? Or did you desire that Wrath should descend from your Lord on you? Is that why you did not fulfill your promise to me”?

They said: “We did not break our promise to you of our own will. But we were loaded with the (gold) ornaments of that nation and therefore, we cast them (into the fire to melt). Then did Sâmirî too”.

So, he brought forth for them (from melt gold) a lowing statue of a calf. Then (Samiri and his supporters) said to them: "This is your deity and the deity of Musa, but he forgot."

Do they not see that he (the calf) cannot answer them with a word and is not able to harm or benefit them?

And I swear, Aaron had said to them before: “O my people! You are only tried by it, and surely The Most Beneficent is your Lord, therefore follow me and obey my order”.

They said: “We will by no means cease to keep to its worship until Moses returns to us”.

(Moses) said: “O Aaron! What prevented you (from warning them) when you saw them becoming astray?

Why did not you comply with me? Did you then rebel against my order?

(Aaron) said: “O son of my mother! Do not seize me by my beard, or by my head. Surely, I was afraid that you should say: “You have caused a division (disagreement, enmity) among the Sons of Israel and you have not observed (carried out) my word”.

(Moses) said: “Then, O Sâmirî, what did you say (to them)”?

(Sâmirî) said: “I saw what they did not see. I took a handful (of the dirt) from where the Messenger (Gabriel) stepped and flung it (into melted metal) thus did my soul make it fair-seeming to me”.

(Moses) said: “Go away! Surely for you it will be in this life to say: ‘Do not touch (me)’. And, verily, an inevitable promise (punishment) awaits you. And look at your (so-called) god to whose worship you kept persistently! We will certainly burn it, then we will certainly scatter its ash, scattering in the sea”.

Your God is only Allah, there is no god but He. He comprehends (surrounds) all things in (His) Knowledge.

Thus, do We relate to you of the news of what has gone before. And indeed, We have given to you a Reminder (the Qur’ân) from Us.

100

Whoever turns aside from it (from Qur’ân), he shall surely bear a burden (the degrees that he has lost) on the Day of Resurrection.

101

Abiding (forever) in this (in the torment that heavy burden will bring), and what a terrible (heavy) burden this is for them on the Day of Resurrection.

102

On that Day the Trumpet shall be blown. And on the Day of Permission We will gather the guilty blue.

103

They will talk quietly to each other: “You stayed (in the world) only ten (days, or months, or years)”.

104

We know best what they say. For them, the most exemplary along the way (the holy teacher) will say: “You stayed only a day”.

105

And they ask you about the mountain(s). Say: “My Lord will crush them to fine dust and toss.

106

He will leave it (the place of the mountains) as a leveled plain.

107

where you will not see any lowness or highness”.

108

On the Day of Permission they shall follow the Caller in whom there is no crookedness and the voices will be hushed before the Most Beneficent so that you shall hear no sound but a light whisper.

109

On the Day of Permission no intercession shall avail except of him whom the Most Beneficent allows and whose word He is well pleased with (this is the Imam of the Time, who is completely subordinate to the will of Allah and is the Intercessor)

110

(Allah) knows what is before them (their future) and what is behind them (their past), while they do not comprehend it with (their) knowledge.

111

And the bodies (every one) humbled themselves before the Ever and Living (Allah). And fell into loss (into Hell) those who loaded (a burden of) evils.

112

And whoever does righteous deeds (that clean the soul’s heart) being a believer (as Faith has been written into their hearts), let have no fear of injustice, and by reducing (the degrees they have acquired), infringe on their rights.

113

And thus have We sent it down as an Arabic Qur’ân and have explained therein in detail of promises so that they may become the owners of takwa (spiritual armor) or it may be a reminder for them.

114

Supremely Exalted is therefore Allah, the King, the Truth. And do not make haste with the Qur’ân before its revelation is made complete to you. And say: “My Lord! Increase me in knowledge”.

115

And indeed, We gave a covenant to Adam, but he forgot. And We did not find him determined.

116

And We had said to the angels: “Prostrate yourselves to Adam”! They prostrated themselves except Iblîs (Satan). He (Satan) resisted (did not prostrate).

117

So We said: “O Adam! This (Satan) is indeed an enemy to you and to your wife. So be careful that he did not bring you out of paradise. Then you will become unhappy.

118

Surely there is neither hunger nor nakedness in it (paradise)

119

and verily, there you not be neither thirst nor heat”.

120

Then Satan whispered to him. He said: “O Adam! Shall I point you to the Tree of Eternity and to the endless kingdom”?

121

Upon that they both ate of it (from the tree), and so their private parts became manifest to them. They both began to cover themselves with leaves of paradise and Adam rebelled against his Lord, and thus disobeyed.

122

Then his Lord chose him, so He accepted his repentance and delivered him to Return (his spirit to Himself).

123

(Allah) said: “Go down, both of you, therefrom. All (Satan and you) being an enemy one to another. After that there will surely come to you Return (an invitation to submission of the spirit, physical body, soul and free will to Me) from Me. Then whoever follows My Return (My Teacher), he shall not remain in Darkness nor shall be unhappy”.

124

And whoever turns away from My praise, then, verily, a hard life is prepared for him. And on the Day of Judgment We will raise him blind!

125

He said (on the Day of Resurrection): "My Lord! Why did You raised me blind when (before, in my life-time) I was sighted?"

126

(Allah) said: “Like this; Our Signs came to you, but you forgot them. And thus will you this Day be forgotten”.

127

And thus, do We punish those who are wasteful (who exceed the limits) and do not believe in the Verses of their Lord. And certainly, the torment of the Hereafter is severer and more lasting.

128

Did not they still reach Return (did not wish to return the spirit to Allah), although so many generations We destroyed before them as they walk among their dwellings? Surely, in this, of course, there are Signs for those who observe the prohibitions of Allah.

129

And if there had not been Word already gone forth from your Lord and an appointed term, it (a punishment) would surely have been necessary to them.

130

So be patient with what they say! And glorify your Lord by the praising of Him before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during hours of the night. And do also glorify (Him) throughout the day. It is hoped that you may reach the Divine Consent.

131

And do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to some of them, its being but the splendor of worldly life by which We test them. And the provision of your Lord is better and more enduring.

132

And enjoin the Prayer on your family (and your followers) and be patient on it (the prayer). We do not ask you for subsistence. We do give your subsistence, and the (best) end is for the owners of takwa (spiritual armor).

133

And they said: “Why does he not bring to us a Verse from his Lord? Has not there come to them a clear evidence of what is in the previous pages”?

134

And if We had destroyed them with a torment before this, they would certainly have said: “Our Lord! If only You had sent to us a Messenger, we should certainly have followed Your Verses, before we were humiliated and disgraced”.

135

Say: “Everyone is awaiting; therefore, you wait as well! So, you will come to know who is on the Sıratı Seviyye (whose spirit is still on the path of Sıratı Mustakîm) and who has attained Return (returned the spirit to Allah at life)”.

قُلْ كُلٌّ مُتَرَبِّصٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَابُ الصِّرَاطِ السَّوِيِّ وَمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ

Kul kullun mutarabbisun fa taraabbasoo, fa sa taa’lamoona man aasheabus sıreatıs saviyyi va manihtadea.
