Al-Layl Verse 1 - I swear by the night when it is about to envelop

The Night

I swear by the night when it is about to envelop

and to the day when it begins to brighten up,

and (by) the One who created the male and the female.

Your effort (your striving) is most surely various.

But whoever gave (for Allah’s cause) and became the owner of takwa (spiritual armor),

and confirmed Al-Husnâ (seeing Allah’s Essence),

then We will make it easy for him (in order that He may see the Essence of Allah).

But, if someone is stingy and sees himself as not needing anything (even in Allah),

and belied Al-Husnâ (seeing the Essence of Allah),

then, We will make for him easy which is the most difficult (the way that leads to evil).

And his wealth does not avail him when he dies.

Most surely, it belongs to Us to turn (the spirits of people to Himself).

And most surely, before (the beginning) and after (the end), of course, they belong to Us.

Here I warned you with a Fire that its burning power ever increases.

None props himself against it (thrown in it) but the most unfortunate.

He (the most unfortunate) that belied (Al-Husnâ) and turned away.

The one with a huge takwa (spiritual armor) will be far from him (from the fire, with a growing flame),

that gives away his wealth, becomes cleansed.

And they (the owners of takwa) to someone (gives away his wealth is) not in order to receive from Him in return any blessing,.

but only want (to see) the Essence of his Lord, the Most High.

And he shall soon be well-pleased!

92:1

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ

Val layli izea yaagshea.

I swear by the night when it is about to envelop
