Al-Infitar Verse 19 - That Day no soul will be able to do anything

The Cleaving

When the sky cracks and splits,

and when the stars scatter,

and when the seas swell up and get mixed up with one another,

and when the graves are turned upside down (when the dead are made to come out),

then (évery) soul had come to know what it has presented (what it has done) and what it has delayed (has not done).

O human! What is it that deceived you from your Bountiful Lord,

Who created you, then gave you a shape, and then balanced you?

In whatever form He willed, he constituted you (He gave a different form to each by putting together different genetic codes).

Nay! But you belie the Religion.

And most surely there are protecting angels over you,

as Honorable recorders (Scribes).

They know what you do.

Most surely Al-Abrâr (the righteous who are the people of Paradise) are in blessings.

And most surely Al-Fujjâr (the sinners) are surely in the blazing Fire.

They (get thrown in) prop themselves against it (blazing fire) on the Day of Religion.

And they will not disappear from it (they will not burn to ashes and come out of there).

And what is it that makes you realize what the Day of Religion is?

Then, (yes) what is it that makes you realize what the Day of Religion is?

That Day no soul will be able to do anything for another soul, and the Command on the Day of Permission shall be entirely Allah’s.

82:19

يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا ۖ وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ

Yavma lea tamliku nafsun li nafsin shay’ea(shay’an), val amru yavmaizin lilleah(lilleahi).

That Day no soul will be able to do anything for another soul, and the Command on the Day of Permission shall be entirely Allah’s.
