The Criterion

Blessed is (Allah) Who sent down the Discernment upon His servant that he may be a Warner for the Worlds.

He (Allah), Whose is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and Who has not taken a child, and Who has no partner in the power. And He created everything, then ordained their destiny.

And they have taken besides Him gods, who cannot create anything while they are themselves created, and they possess themselves neither harm nor benefit, nor do they possess power of death nor of life nor of bringing back to life.

And those who disbelieve said: “This (Quran) is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and other tribes have helped him at it too”. So indeed, they have come in with falsehood and tyranny.

And they said: “This (Quran) is the legends of the ancients, which were read out to him morning and evening and which he has got them written (before)”.

Say: “It (Qur’ân) has been sent down by Him Who knows the Secret of the heavens and the earth; surely He is Oft-Forgiving (Replacing sins with good), Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute)”.

And they said: “What sort of messenger is this that he eats food and goes about in the markets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a Warner with him?

Or a treasure should have been thrown (sent) down to him (from the sky), or he is made to have a garden from which he should eat?” And the tyrants said: “You follow only a bewitched man”.

Look! What things they attributed to you, so they have remained in Darkness, therefore they have no power to (reach) the Way (of Allah).

Blessed is He Who, if He wills, will give you what is better than this, Gardens beneath which the rivers flow, and build palaces for you.

Nay, they refuted the Hour (Doomsday), and We have prepared a flaming (Hell) Fire for those who refute the Hour.

When (Hell) saw them from a distance, they heard its raging and roaring.

And when they were cast into a narrow place thereof, tied together, they asked for destruction (to disappear).

Do not ask today destruction once, but ask many times.

Say: “Is this better or Eternal Paradise "Huld" which those who are the owners of takwa (spiritual armor) are promised which is a reward and a final destination for them”?

For them there is in it what they desire, forever. This is the promise your Lord has taken upon Himself, for which He is asked.

And on that Day He shall gather them together, and whatever they served besides Allah, then He will say: “Was it you who made these My servants fall into Darkness, or did they themselves remain on the Way of Darkness?

(The idols) said: “Glory be to You; it is not beseeming for us that we should take any friends besides You. But You did give them and their fathers goods that they forgot praise and became a people deserving of perdition.

Therefore (what you worshipped aside from Allah) belied you in what you have said. So, you cannot avert (the torment) nor obtain help. And whoever among you becomes unjust, We will make him taste a great torment.

And We have not sent before you any Messengers, except those who surely ate food and went about in the markets. And We have made some of you a test for others, to see if you will be patient. And your Lord is the All-Seeing!

And those who do not want to unite with Us (to return the spirit to Us before death) said: "Should not angels be sent down to us, or so that we could see our Lord?" I swear that they became proud in their souls and arrogantly crossed the line.

On that Day they shall see the angels, no glad tidings shall there be for the culprits on the Day of Permission. And (the angels) shall say (to them): “is (glad tidings) totally prohibited (to you)”.

And We have cut off what they have done of deeds (We nullified their deeds), so We rendered them (their deeds) as scattered floating dust.

The dwellers of Paradise shall on the Day of Permission be in a better abiding and a fairest resting-place.

And on the Day when the sky was split with clouds, the angels were sent down in lines.

The Sovereignty on the Day of Permission is true for the Most-Beneficent, and it is a hard Day for the disbelievers.

And on that Day the tyrant bites his hands in regret and says: “O! I wish I with the Messenger had taken a Way (that goes to Allah).

O woe to me! I wish I had not been friends so-and-so man!

I swear that he seduced me from praising (from Kor’an-a, pray, praising the name of Allah) after it (Allah’s knowledge) came to me and that’s how Satan leaves a human without help”.

And the Messenger said: “My Lord! Surely my people deserted this Qur’ân (left Qur’ân).

And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from the culprits and Sufficient is your Lord as the One Who Returns (Subdues) and as a Helper.

And those who disbelieve said: “Should not the Qur’ân have been sent down upon him all at once”? This is that We will strengthen it (the Qur’ân) to your comprehension. And We have read it, explaining in parts.

And they have not brought to you an affair but what We delivered to you with the truth and the best commentary.

Those who shall be gathered on their faces to Hell, they are in a worse abode and who has staying even more Astray, deviating from the Way (of Allah)

And I swear, We gave Moses the Book (the Torah) and We appointed with him his brother Aaron as a helper.

Then We said: “Go to the people who belied Our Verses!” After that We destroyed them with utter destruction.

And the people of Noah (Nûh), when they belied the Messengers, We drowned them, and made them a Sign (example) for the mankind. And We have prepared a painful torment for the tyrants.

And Âd and Thamûd and the dwellers of Ar-Rass (the nation of Şuayb) and many generations (who had lived) between them (We destroyed).

And to each of them We gave examples and We completely destroyed them.

And I swear, that they came to the town on which was rained an terrible (destroying) rain. Did they not then see it? Nay! They did not hope to be resurrected.

And when they see you, they only mock you (saying): “Is this he whom Allah has sent forth to be a Messenger?

If we did not show patience with him (to Muhammad (SAS)) he would indeed almost turn us away from our gods.”! And they will know, when they see the torment, who has staying in even more Astray, deviating from the Way (of Allah).

Have you seen the one who deified his low desires? Will you be his guarantor?

Or do you think that most of them do hear or comprehend? They are only like animals. Nay, they are has staying even more Astray, deviating from the Way (of Allah).

Have you not seen how your Lord extended the shade? And if He had willed, He would certainly have made that stationary. Then We have made the sun its guide,

then, gradually reducing, attracted to Himself.

And He it is Who made the night a covering for you, and the sleep a time to rest. And He (also) made the day a time to work.

And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings before His Mercy (before the rain). And We have sent down pure water from the sky,

to give life the dead earth with it and to drink many of the animals and people created by Us.

And I swear, We have distributed (explained in detail) it (rain and lights: mercy, generosity and Salâvâts) amongst them in order that they may deliberate. But most of mankind only stubbornly denying.

And if We had willed, We would certainly have sent a Warner to every town.

So do not obey the disbelievers, and fight with a mighty fight against them with it (with the Qur’ân).

And it is He Who has let free the two seas; one delicious and sweet, and the other salty and bitter. Between the two He has made a barrier and inviolable obstruction (for them not to mix).

And He it is Who has created mankind from the water, then He gave him kindred and genealogy. And your Lord is Omnipotent.

And they worship besides Allah that which neither profits them nor causes them harm. And the disbeliever backed Satan up against his Lord.

And We have sent you only as a bearer of glad tidings and a Warner.

Say: “I do not ask of you any reward for it (conveyance) except that whosoever wills may take a Way to his Lord.

And put your trust in the Ever-Living One Who does not die, and glorify with His Praise. And Sufficient for Him Being All-Aware of the sins of His servants.

It is He Who created the heavens and the earth, and what is between them in Six Days. Then the Most Beneficent rose to Heaven of Heavens. So ask the informed one (Gabriel) of this.

And when it was said to them: “Prostrate yourselves to the Most Beneficent”, they said: “What is the Most Beneficent? Shall we prostrate ourselves to what you command us”? And it (this command) increased them in aversion.

Blessed be He Who has made in the sky constellations and has set there the moon as an illuminating lamp.

And He it is Who has made the night and the day a succession for those who yearn to think or be thankful.

And the servants of the Most Beneficent walk on the earth in modestly and when the ignorant address them, they say: “Peace”!

And they pass the night prostrating themselves and standing before their Lord.

And they say: “Our Lord! Keep the torment of Hell away from us, surely the torment of it is permanently destructive.

Surely it is an evil abode as and a residence.

And when they spend, they are neither extravagant nor parsimonious. And they keep between these two on a middle path.

And they do not worship another god with Allah; and without the right nor kill someone, which Allah has forbidden and do not commit adultery. And he who does these meets a punishment of sin.

The torment shall be multiplied to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall abide therein forever in abasement.

Except him who repents (before the saint guide, the Murshid) and becomes a believer (whose Faith has increased as ‘Faith’ has been written into his soul’s heart) and does righteous deeds (does the soul’s cleansing); so, these are they of whom Allah changes the sins with good. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving (Replacing sins with good), the Most Merciful (the One who sends His lights of mercy).

And whoever repents (before his Murshid) and does improving deeds (does the soul’s cleansing), he with accepted repentance will return to Allah (turn spirit during life Allah).

And they do not bear false witness, and when they meeting the vain (with the idle), they pass by with dignity.

And when they are reminded of the Verses of their Lord, they do not become deaf and blind in relation to them.

And they say: “Our Lord! Bestow upon us from our spouses and offspring the delight of our eyes, and make us Imams (religious leaders) to the owners of takwa (spiritual armor)”.

These get rewarded with high stations (in paradise) due to their patience, and get met therein with greetings and salutations.

There they abide forever. How excellent of an abode and a residing place.

Say (to them): "My Lord would not appreciate you if it you did not have prayers. But you refuted! However, it (torment) will be inevitable."

25:1

An-Nur

Ash-Shu'ara

تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ الْفُرْقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَالَمِينَ نَذِيرًا

Tabearakallazee nazzalal furkeana aalea aabdihee li yakoona lil ealameena nazeerea(nazeeran).

Blessed is (Allah) Who sent down the Discernment upon His servant that he may be a Warner for the Worlds.
