The Clot

Read in the Name of your Lord Who Created.

He created the human being from Alaq (an embryo).

Read, and your Lord is the Owner of the Greatest Honor,

That He taught with pen,

taught the human being what he did not know.

Nay! Human most surely goes rampant,

Because of seeing himself self-sufficient (not being in need of anything, even Allah).

Surely to your Lord is the return.

Have you seen the one who (Abu-Jahl) prevents,

when one of His servants performs his prayer?

Have you seen? If that (servant) is upon return (wished to return the spirit to Allah),

or commanded the takwa (spiritual armor)?

Have you seen, if he (Abu-Jahl) belied and turned away?

Does he (Abu-Jahl) not know that Allah sees (him)?

Nay! If he does not desist, We shall catch (drag) him by the forelock (forehead),

a lying, sinful forehead.

Then let him call upon his council (helpers),

We shall call the guards of Hell.

Nay! Do not obey him and prostrate yourself and draw near (to Allah)!

96:4

الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ

Allazee aallama bil kaalam(kaalami).
