The Wind-Curved Sandhills

Hâ, Mîm.

The sending down of the Book is from Allah, the Majestic, the All-Wise.

We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them except with the truth, and until a known (appointed) term. And those are the disbelievers who turn aside from what they are warned of.

Say: “Have you seen what you called upon besides Allah”? Show me what they have created on the earth. Or do they have a partner in the heavens? Bring me a Book and a scientific work (idols) before this (before the Qur'an), if you are truthful.

And who is in greater Darkness than he who calls besides Allah? None answers him till the Day of Resurrection, and they (idols) are unaware of their call.

And when mankind is gathered together, they (idols) became enemies to them, and denied their worshipping.

And when Our clear Verses (Signs) were recited (read and explained) to them, those who disbelieved said in regards to the truth (about Our Verses) when it came to them: “This is plain magic”.

Or are they saying: “He has forged it”? Say: If I am forging it, then you have no power to prevent anything that will come for me from Allah. He knows best what (slanders) into you have plunged about it (Qur’an). He (Allah) is enough as a Witness to it (to the Qur’ân) between me and you. And He is the Oft- Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

Say: “I have not brought a different thing (innovation) from the other Messengers. And I do not know what will be done with me or with you.

Say: “Have you seen (considered)? What if that Qur’ân is from Allah, and you denied it? And a witness from among the Sons of Israel has borne witness to the like of it (that the Qur'an contains the same thing as the Torah), so he believed, and yet you turned arrogant to it”? Surely, the unjust people Allah does not Return (does not submitt their spirit).

The deniers said to those who believed (âmenû): “If it had been good, they would not have gone ahead of us in it (in respecting and in believing in Qur'an)”. As they fail to reach Return (submission) with it (the Qur’ân), they shall say: “This is an ancient lie”.

And before it (Qur’ân) there is the Book of Moses (Torah) as a Guide and Mercy (light). This is a Book verifying (the Book of Moses) in the Arabic language that it may warn those who are tyrants and as glad tidings to the Muhsinûn (who submitted physical body and reached the 4th takva).

Surely, they said: “Our Lord is Allah”. Then they became directed (wished to return their spirits to Allah). There is no fear for them anymore, nor do they grieve.

Those are the dwellers of paradise who will be abiding therein forever (as a reward) for what they used to do.

And We have enjoined on mankind to treat their parents with kindness. With hardship did his mother carry him and with hardship did she bring him forth. And the bearing of him and the weaning of him is thirty months. Finally, when he attained his maturity, he was forty years old. He said: “My Lord! Make me successful in giving thanks for Your Gifts, which You have bestowed on me and on my parents and in doing righteous deeds (cleansing of soul and in completely deliver from the vices of the soul) which You are pleased with, and make my offspring righteous. Surely I repented to You and surely I am of those who is submitted (to You)”.

These are they from whom We accept what they have done in a best way (We give them up to 700 degrees for 1 good deed) and We give up their evil deeds We cover them out and replace their sins with good). They are among the dwellers of paradise. What they have been promised is a true promise.

And he said to his parents: “Fie on you (I am fed up with you both), do you imply that I shall be taken out, whereas many generations have passed away before me”? And they both calling for Allah’s help (said): “Woe to you (You are harming yourself)! Believe, surely the Promise of Allah is true”. Upon that (he) said: “This is nothing but tales of the ancients”.

These are they against whom the Word (of torment) is justified among the nations of the jinn and the human that have already passed away before them. Surely they are the ones in Loss.

And for all are degrees according to what they did, that they may be paid back and they will not be wronged.

And on that Day when the disbelievers are exposed to the Fire: “You consumed your good things (according to you) in your lifetime and you enjoyed them. So, today you will be punished with the torment of abasement because you were proud in the land without any right and because you used to be ungodly ones”.

And remember the brother of Âd people! He had warned the people of Al- Ahqâf (Sand Dunes). Many Warners passed before him and after him, saying: “Do not be a servant to any but Allah! Surely I fear for the torment of a mighty day that is upon you”.

They said: “Have you come to us to turn us away from our gods? Then bring us the thing (torment) that you promised us with, if you are of the truthful ones”.

He said: “The knowledge (of that torment) is only in the Presence of Allah, and I convey to you that with which I have been sent. But I see you a people who are ignorant”.

When they saw it (the torment) in the form of a cloud, coming towards their valley, they said: “This is a cloud which will give us rain”. Nay, it is what you hasten: a (hurricane) wind, in which is a painful torment.

It destroys everything by the Command of its Lord. So, in the morning nothing could be seen except their dwellings. This is how We punish a guilty nation.

And I swear, We have given them opportunities which We even did not give you. And We have given them the senses of hearing, seeing and comprehending. But their senses of hearing and seeing did not avail them. And their comprehension did not avail them either. They were denying the Verses of Allah knowingly and that which they mocked at encompassed them.

And I swear, We destroyed many of the towns which are around you, and We have explained the Verses so that they might turn (to Allah).

Shouldn't the gods they acquired besides Allah help them to approach Him? Nay, they (the idols) have moved away from them. This is their lie and what they slandered with!

And We had directed a party of the jinn towards you to listen to the Qur’ân. When they came to its presence, they said: “Be silent, listen”! Then when it (the recitation of the Qur’ân) was finished, they turned back to their people, as Warners.

They said: “O our people! We have listened to a Book sent down after Moses, conforming that which is in their hands, returning to the Truth (Allah) and delivering to Tarîk-i Mustakîm.

O our people! Answer the caller of Allah and believe in Him that He may forgive you of your sins and replaces them with good, and protects you from a painful torment.

And whosoever does not answer Allah’s Caller, cannot render (Allah) impotent in the earth, and he doesn’t have friends besides Allah. They are in manifest Darkness”.

Have they not seen that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth? And He does not get weary creating them. He is capable to give life to the dead. Yes, He surely is Omnipotent.

And on that Day the disbelievers get exposed to the Fire. (When they are told): “Is this not real”? They said: “Yes, by Our Lord (it is real)”! (Allah) said: “Then taste the Torment, due to your denial”.

Therefore be patient, like the messengers of Ulûl'azm (owners of decisiveness and perseverance). And don't rush for them. On the Day when they see the promised (torment), it will seem to them that they have been (on earth) no more than one hour of the day. (It's) an announcement! Will then anyone be destroyed except the ungodly people?
